What the October 8 sales release tells you
TSMC’s September revenue report, issued October 8, put consolidated sales at approximately NT$511.86 billion, up 54.6% from September 2025 and down 0.6% from August 2026. January–September revenue reached NT$3,898.727 billion, up 41.1% year on year.
The official monthly revenue table reports figures in millions of New Taiwan dollars: July 467,580; August 514,806; and September 511,857. Adding those three reported months gives NT$1,494.243 billion for July–September. This is a calculation from the monthly figures, which TSMC labels unaudited, rather than a separate quarterly earnings announcement.
Revenue measures sales, not profit. These figures alone do not establish net income, earnings per share or profit margins; those need the quarterly financial statements. A September sales figure describes September activity even though it was published in October.
